Warm Sugar Moments

In my opinion one of the best things about the holiday season is the food - especially the goodies. Naturally, the title of the latest collab kit from Tempus Fugit and NBK Proudly Presents caught my eye - "Warm Sugar Moments."

Doesn't that title sound yummy? And this exceptional kit fits the bill - full of incredibly detailed elements, rich textured papers, glitter and an alpha! It is huge!  Here are my layouts I did with the kit:

And Winter Came

Has Winter come to your area yet? We have already had two snowstorms that left an inch or more of snow. I love the snow - but I hate being cold! Just let me stay inside and look at it from the warmth of my house! Doris over at Tempus Fugit released a kit this week that perfectly captures the icy coldness that is winter (at least around my parts). It is called "And Winter Came."

All of the papers and elements are very light in color. The whole kit gave me a cold feeling - but I think it is beautiful! I don't have too many snow pictures, but I came up with two layouts any way. Here they are:

Grateful

Cara released a new kit today over at Sweet Tomato Designs. It is called "Grateful."

I ma in love with the color scheme. I really like that about Cara's kits - great colors! I especially love the houndstooth and herringbone patterned papers and elements in this kit. Here is my layout, highlighting one of my greatest blessings: being Mama to three beautiful boys.

Love Walks In

Ramona released a new kit this week over at Ramona the Pest. It is called "Love Walks In."

Ramona designed the kit in response to a dare by her husband. I think it is very cute! I used it to scrap a double page layout for an album I am making for my birthmom. (Yep, that's me when I was about 5.)

'Tis the Season Again

I am so not ready for Christmas. But the digi-scrapping world seems to be jumping in with both feet! I got to work with my first holiday-themed kit of the season this week. It is called "'Tis the Season Again" and it is from Lauries Scraps.

Laurie also released a kit of card templates. And, with Christmas just around the corner they are an easy way to get your holiday cards designed, printed, and in the mail!

My Lifetime Story

For 2010, Faith Sisters is having a year-long project called "My Lifetime Story." It is a chance for you to get your life story down for posterity. I am planning on joining in the fun - you should too! All the info about the project is here and it officially starts January 6th!

Whistle While You Work

Do you ever wonder if your kids are old enough for chores yet? My husband and I decided this past week that our two oldest are - and I made them each a chore chart using the newest release from Laurie's Scraps - "Whistle While You Work."

Their chrts are pretty simple. They each have six chores that they do everyday. Since they are only 5 and 3 they have very simple chores - things like brushing their teeth, helping feed the animals and picking up their toys. I plan on increasing their level of responsibility as they get older, and altering their charts accordingly. They get rewards for doing all their chores for a day, a week, or a month. So far our 3-year old is doing better than our 5-year old!
I had their charts printed at Costco on glossy stock, which works just like a dry erase board with dry erase markers - no need to laminate it. The font I used, which matches the kit's word art, is called Smiley Monster. It can be downloaded for free here.

I have made a template off my design for your freebie today, though there are two 8.5" x 11" templates included in the kit when you buy it. It is 30% off this week, BTW!

Today

Wow! It's been over a week since I posted. That wasn't planned, but my CTs have been a little slow lately and I apologize. I should have three freebies for you this week to make up for it.
