"Bear Lake", "Swing" & a new project

A couple more pages to share.

I am also working on a new project - a portrait book. I have all of these portraits in a box that I have meaning to make a book out of, so now I'm doing it! Each page has the same basic layout, just the colors and accents vary. The date strip, stitching and info box stay the same, to lend continuity to the book. Here is an example:

 Scrapping Simply is having their twice-yearly sale on prints. Why is this so great? Because they are AWESOME. Their prints are by far the best I have ever seen, and the most affordable. And, they have the best customer service out there. This past week (yes, I missed the sale) I ordered a bunch of prints and two were the wrong resolution. Dino Star!

Monday - time for a new kit and a new freebie! Today Andrea at Scraps by Andrea is releasing this new kit - Dino Star!

 It is a fun kit for little kids who love dinosaurs. My boys sure do. Here are my layouts.

"First Day of Kindergarten"

My oldest just started kindergarten about three weeks ago. He was so excited. He loves school! I did this LO to commemorate his first day. 

This LO was chosen as a Gallery Standout over at Faith Sisters! And it was featured in "Made You Look Monday" on the Faith Sisters blog. Woo hoo!


Almost all the product I used is from Three Paper Peonies. I love her designs! I think most of it was her "School" kit, with pieces from the "California" kit.

Did you see my new blinkie??

I was recently invited to join another CT - at Ramona the Pest. Ramona's site, Brownie Scraps, was the first place I started sharing my digital scrapbooking pages. I hadn't even applied to be on her CT, but of course I accepted and am happily working away on LOs with her kits to be released this coming month. So stay tuned! There will be quite a few new freebies starting September 1st!

Simple Pleasures

As a child, I would never have dreamed that one of my favorite colors would be brown. Yes, brown. I have noticed that I tend to lean towards brown for the backgrounds of my layouts. It is just such a nice, grounding color. Hmm. Good thing Andrea over at Scraps by Andrea put lots of brown in her new kit "Simple Pleasures." There are other nice colors too, but I'm really digging the brown.
