More Exciting News

My last tidbit of exciting news for this week (I can't believe it's Friday already?!) is that I have joined the CT over at Lauries Scraps. I am way excited and love her kits. For my first project I got to work with her new "Stars and Stripes" kit.I love the vintage, muted colors in this kit. I love, love, LOVE the stitched fireworks and the included alphabet too. It would be perfect for Independence Day, or summer activities in general.

Octopus Garden

This darling kit, "Octopus Garden," was just released by Cara over at Sweet Tomato Designs.
It is an expansion of her "Octopus Garden" kit from the So You Think You Can Design? contest over at DigiScrap Addicts. I had pictures from last week's first swim of the summer just waiting to be scrapped and this kit was perfect!

Wahoo! We reached five thousand hits! And it took less than a month! To celebrate, I got all creative and designed my own alphabet to give away. It started with the word art I did here. Ta Da! The first freebie of the week!

I am thrilled to announce that I have been invited to join the CT over at Sweet Tomato Designs. I love Cara's work, so I was super excited when she asked me to join. I didn't even apply to join, so it was a suprise and a big compliment. As a celebratory gift, I made a QP out of the layout that inspired Cara to invite me to join. There is a brand spankin' new kit over at Scraps by Andrea. It is called "My Father the Fisherman."
This kit is great for Father's Day photos, or just fun camping or fishing photos. I love the masculine color scheme. For my layouts I used some photos from previous camping trips.

"Smarty Pants" and "Easter Egg Hunt"

Another two pages from our 2008 family book. I am working on my 2009 and 2008 books right now. When I'm done with my 2008 catch up work, I'll move on to the 2007. I've got a long ways to go!In other news, I'm working on a special freebie to celebrate my 5000th hit. I'm not sure wether to do a QP or to branch out into another area of design - an alpha maybe? Any suggestions??

As I am getting back to my own scrapbook work I find that I'm having a bit of a creativity block. Maybe I need to take a break, or look through my scrapbooking magazines again. I'll work on that. In the meantime, I'll share a page or two with you that I've done recently.

More Lil' Monsters

This is the last of the "old" kits from Scraps by Andrea. Now I will just be doing layouts for the new kits she releases. I think her plan is to release one per week for the next few weeks. I am hoping to get some more work done on my family album now that I'm caught up with SBA. I'll post some of those layouts here as well.

Lil' Monsters

To tell you the truth, i have been putting off doing my layouts for this kit. I am not really a fan of neon color schemes. But, I made it work.
